Welder/Fabricator (1st Shift)
Job Description
We are seeking a Welder / Fabricator for an established company in the Grand Rapids, MI area that has knowledge, desire, and the proven ability in the field to carry out welding of stainless steel components, conduct pre-heating and post-heating of weld elements to respectively prepare and reinforce welds. They will also weld to ensure they are clean, free of error and in accordance with relevant welding codes.
Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 6am to 2:30pm, with overtime as needed
Job Duties of the Welder / Fabricator:
Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products.
Install and repair various equipment and components.
Follow blueprints to meet product specifications.
Calculate material measurements to verify specifications.
Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance.
Operating different welding equipment and machines such as; MIG,TIG,Plasma Tables, Brake Press, Sheer, or CNC machines.
Skills and Qualifications of the Welder / Fabricator:
Previous experience in MIG welding and Fabrication.
Experience with basic hand tools.
Must know how to read blueprints and a tape measure.
Familiarity with welding tools and procedures.
Familiarity with engineering blueprints and schematics.
Must be able to handle physical workload.
Must pass a welding test at client site.
