We are seeking dedicated Utility Worker in the CNC Department for an established company in the Gainesville, FL area.

 Available Schedule:

• Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm

 Pay: $16.75/hr

Job Duties of the CNC Utility Worker:

Responsible for ensuring inventory is ordered and stocked and raw material is prepared to assist in ensuring maximum production efficiency and product flow within the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

• Ensures material availability to CNC Operators through instruction of department supervisor.

• Uses various saws to cut metals & other raw material to proper length for production of fabricated parts or product.

• Uses drill press, tapping heads and other various machines or equipment on fabricated parts to assist in ensuring product specifications are met.

• Performs preventative maintenance on manual and CNC equipment to ensure equipment remains operational and functional.

• Uses hydraulic presses to straighten parts for use in CNC department.

• Deburrs parts with files, pneumatic grinders, electric grinders & deburring knifes to meet product specifications.

• Moves raw material, work in process material, finished goods inventory and other supplies to various locations in the building.

• Ensures daily cycle counts of raw material, in process material & finished goods inventory are tracked and documented.

• Tracks, troubleshoots & adjusts inventory in AS400 system with assistance from the Production Scheduler and the department supervisor.

• Maintains good housekeeping controls within the CNC department.

• Comprehends written and verbal instructions and translates them into actionable tasks in support of the production process

• Refers to procedural instructions appropriate for each job, function or assignment before commencing work.

• Uses time effectively and promotes strong team atmosphere by assisting others when needed

• Promotes quality by maintaining discipline and compliance of procedures related to job specifications.

• Performs assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.

• Handles hazardous waste within the department as established by state and federal regulations.

• All other tasks as assigned by the department supervisor.

Skills and Qualifications of the CNC Machine Operator:

• Good attention to detail.

• Commitment to exceptional attendance

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environment.
