Transportation Sales,(10+ yrs Transportation sales) Qualifications
Significant experience selling and implementing complex transportation solutions
Five or more years of experience managing sales for large, complex key accounts with a track record of success in gaining ne business and winning new accounts
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Works well under pressure and stress
Possess the emotional intelligence to diffuse conflict and develop key relationships
Ability to work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results

Sales: 5 years (Required) Responsibilities
This Sales position is responsible for developing long-term customer relationships and significantly growing key accounts
This role will proactively and relentlessly reach out to existing and prospective customer contacts to educate, promote, and sell .
This position will actively facilitate and lead interactions between key customers and cross-functional internal teams to develop and ensure the timely and successful delivery
This role is accountable for achieving assigned monthly margin goals
Pursues new services and expands current services with key customers
Conducts face-to-face meetings, presents proposals, and closes new business
Aggressively develops warm leads with high potential accounts
Develops and maintains relationships with key decision makers controlling supply chains from the front line to the executive level
Achieves key sales performance targets volume, revenue and gross margin
Facilitates the development of rate quotes that consistently wins new transportation services business while meeting internal gross margin goals
Stays up to date on all operational functions, and actively facilitates collaborative solutions to operational or billing service issues that arise with customers
Manages customer contract agreements and terms
Collaborates with internal teams on pricing strategy, plus new services and new account implementation plans
Creates annual budgets that reflect progress in growing profitable accounts
Communicates sales activities and prospective customers to management
Tracks sales activity for each assigned account, plus maintains and updates leads, contacts and opportunities using the CRM system
Track, communicate and facilitate the resolution of cargo claims
Analyze financial information from reports and spreadsheets to develop plans, policies and budgets for increasing profits and improving service
Develop high quality, detailed and accurate PowerPoint presentations for new customer introductions, new services proposals and quarterly reviews
Works with the Director of Key Account Sales to ensure alignment with departmental and company strategic goals and business plans
Stays current on industry knowledge including market conditions and trends
Maintains regular, timely, and consistent attendance at work
Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
Significant experience selling and implementing complex transportation solutions
Ten (10+) or more years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management is preferred
Five or more years of experience managing sales for large, complex key accounts with a track record of success in gaining new business and winning new accounts
A Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Sales/Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Logistics, or related field of study preferred (graduate degree is a plus) Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
