Job Description

We are seeking a Transportation Coordinator / Dispatcher for an established company in the Jacksonville, FL area who will help cover freight, build carrier relationships, and will play a critical role in overseeing daily load activities while maintaining a high level of customer service to continuously exceed our customers expectations.

Skills and Qualifications of the Transportation Coordinator / Dispatcher:

  • 2 years of logistics experience
  • General knowledge of the transportation industry
  • High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Outstanding people skills
  • Proficient negotiating skills. Responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator / Dispatcher Include:
  • Operate within strict freight cost guidelines while meeting the needs of the customer
  • Sales support during peak season, expand transportation services with current customers, PO processing, price quoting
  • Responsible for executing and or delegating all day-to-day work related to assigned clients in order to maximize efficiency and deliver according to client and company expectations.
  • Responsible for managing the integrity and accuracy of client s data within TMS systems.
  • Proactively communicate shipment information regarding route changes, delays, or early deliveries to appropriate internal and external customers.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrates a high level of customer service and strong communication and interpersonal skills (both listening and speaking).
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills (record keeping, time management, follow up, etc.)
  • MS Office or Windows based software required.
