We are seeking a Tool Room Machinist for an established company in the Whitehall, MI area who will be operating, setting up, and maintaining CNC machines such as Mills, Lathes, Grinders, and EDM’s.

Job Duties of the Tool Room Machinist:

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or CAD models.

• Select the appropriate tools, machine settings, and materials for each job.

• Install and adjust machine tools and equipment (cutting tools, fixtures, etc.).

• Monitor CNC machines during operation to ensure parts are being produced accurately and meet quality specifications.

• Load and unload workpieces into the machine.

• Inspect finished parts using measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) for accuracy and precision.

• Possible use of a forklift to move materials as needed.

Skills and Qualifications of the Tool Room Machinist:

• 1 year of experience with CNC Operation and Set ups.

• Blueprint reading

• Precision Measuring

• Efficient verbal and written communication skills

• Must be able to stand for 8+ hours throughout a shift
