Job Responsibilities:
Collecting items from the warehouse based on shipping orders, ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality.
Job Duties:
• Attaching appropriate shipping labels and preparing necessary shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
• Using a forklift to load packed items onto trucks or trailers for delivery. Ensuring loads are secure and properly balanced to prevent damage during transport.
• Coordinating with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery.
• Updating inventory management systems to reflect items that have been shipped out.
• Checking incoming shipments against purchase orders or delivery notes to ensure accuracy in terms of quantity, quality, and product specifications.
• Logging received items into inventory management systems and updating records to maintain accurate inventory levels.
Skills and Qualifications:
• One year of shipping and receiving experience
• Experience with either stand up or sit down forklifts.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• High School Diploma/GED
• Able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs
• Able to stand for 8+ hours a day
