Seamstress/Seamster (1st Shift)
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Seamstress/Seamster for an established company on the Southside of Jacksonville, FL. This position will include completing alterations, cutting fabric, measuring customers for custom clothes/alterations, operating a sewing machine, and hand sewing.
Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 9am to 6pm & Saturday, 9am to 4pm
Job Duties of the Seamstress/Seamster:
Taking accurate measurements using a measuring tape.
Safely operate a variety of sewing equipment.
Complete alterations.
Cut different types and styles of fabrics.
Operating a sewing machine.
Skills and Qualifications of the Seamstress/Seamster:
Proven experience with bridal alterations.
Proven experience operating a sewing machine.
Must be able to use and read measuring tapes.
Knowledge of fabrics.
High attention to detail.
Very good hand-eye coordination.
This is a Temp-to-Hire position and the client offers benefits once Hired In.
