Sander (1st Shift)

Job Description
We are seeking Sanders for an established company in the Shelby, MI area who will operate sanding equipment to produce smooth surfaces on wooden boards and banding in preparation for finish applications.
Job Duties of the Sander:
Inspect stock for imperfections and mark defects accordingly.
Smooth product surfaces by operating hand sanders and automatic sanding machines.
Make repairs to dented stock by spraying with water or applying wood putty.
Utilize measuring equipment.
Maintain sanding equipment by cleaning and changing sandpaper.
Skills and Qualifications of the Sander:
Technical aptitude
High attention to detail
1 years’ experience in manufacturing.
Resume with Interview at client’ company.
Must be able to lift, twist, and bend for 8+ hours a day.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
