Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Control Tech for an established company in the Muskegon, MI area who will be developing and maintaining company inspection reports, inspecting goods or products according to quality and safety standards, ensuring goods and products comply with company standards as well as Federal and State law, and ensuring test equipment is calibrated and working correctly.

Job Duties of the Quality Control Tech:

  • Conduct regular inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Investigate and resolve any quality issues or complaints
  • Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • Calibrate and maintain all lab equipment and testing tools (calipers, height gauges, CMMs)
  • Work with production team to implement and maintain quality measures and processes
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality standards are being met throughout the company
  • Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives to identify and eliminate defects and improve processes
  • Communicate with customers and supplies to address quality issues and concerns
  • Create quality reports and documentation
  • Other duties as assigned by management team


Skills and Qualifications of the Quality Control Tech:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate' s degree in a related field preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in a quality control role preferred, especially with metal stamping or springs
  • Knowledge of quality control principles and practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other related software applications
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and TS 16949 quality standards preferred
