Claims/Purchasing
• Processes defective product and warranty claims with manufacturers and processes purchase orders, orders material, and coordinates deliveries with manufactures ensuring product is shipped according to deadline by performing the following duties.
• Initiates claims when requested by managers and associates of other departments.
• Creates claim forms, tracks progress and handles payment and/or settlements for repair or replacement flooring.
• Works with suppliers to maximize claim amounts for credit or refund and submits to accounts payable for posting.
• Arranges independent inspections with suppliers for purposes of validating claim.
• Arranges for shipment of defective product sample to manufacturer.
• Coordinates communication between supplier, independent inspectors, warranty department and end user.
• Maintains records of all claims and associated paperwork.
• Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention and control of records.
• Manages internal supply orders company-wide.
• Expedites product purchases in a cost-effective manner.
