Purchasing / Inventory Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a Purchasing / Inventory Specialist for an established company in the Wildwood, FL area.
Job Duties of the Purchasing / Inventory Specialist:
Process defective product and warranty claims with manufacturers and process purchase orders
Order materials and coordinate deliveries with manufactures, ensuring product is shipped according to the deadline
Initiate claims when requested by managers and associates of other departments.
Create claim forms, track progress, and handle payment and/or settlements for repairs or replacement flooring.
Work with suppliers to maximize claim amounts for credit or refund and submit to accounts payable for posting.
Arrange independent inspections with suppliers for purposes of validating claims
Arrange for shipment of defective product sample to manufacturer
Coordinate communication between supplier, independent inspectors, warranty department, and the end user
Maintain records of all claims and associated paperwork
Maintain timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention and control of records
Manage internal supply orders company wide.
Expedite product purchases in a cost-effective manner
