Production Technician
Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Monitor and control production program/processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and production targets for assigned areas, in compliance to QMS. (Quality Management System).
Job Duties:
•Document machine “Work Breakdown Instructions” as needed.
•Measure first piece for conformance to specifications on print and routing.
•Monitor tooling (wheels, holder, grit, tips, etc.) for wear and request replacement or repair of fixtures with coordinator or Production Manager.
•Operates production machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
•Demonstrate the ability & knowledge to perform machine set-ups in assigned areas.
•Participate in corrective action process and continuous improvement activities.
•Troubleshoot programming/process related issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
•Work toward process improvements, focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
•Research new methods of manufacturing and inspection.
•Perform 1st piece inspections on set-up and check-outs for assigned areas.
•Verify calibration of gauge equipment prior to use. Calibrate gauge equipment as required.
Skills and Qualifications
•Machine Operator Experience
•Must be able to read prints & understand routings to select proper tooling for operation.
•Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation.
•Ability to setup and operate equipment.
•Ability to use ERP system.
•Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
•The ability to stand for 8+ hours a day
