We are seeking Production Technicians for an established manufacturer on the Westside of Jacksonville who will manage production activities for a specified area of the factory floor including general housekeeping and material staging, material loading, machine maintenance and cleaning, general error and alarm troubleshooting, and escalation of issues when unable to resolve an issue on their own.

Schedule: 5:45pm to 6am, 2 days on/ 2 days off/ 3 days on/ 2 days off/ 2 days on/ 3 days off

Job Duties of the Production Technician:

• Prioritize the safety of all team members and ensure that manufacturing processes comply with safety regulations.

• Unpackage raw materials and stage them for loading. Ensure all material codes match the current MO and that all materials are not expired or overexposed.

• Dispose of all packaging waste efficiently and keep work areas clean and neat.

• Load and route materials quickly and efficiently.

• Perform all daily maintenance on the machinery in your area, suction cup cleaning, roller cleaning, conveyor cleaning, sweeping out dropped materials, etc.

• Quickly respond to machine alarms and line stoppages and resolve any minor machine issues necessary to restore line flow.

• Escalate any major machine issues you cannot resolve on your own promptly to the line lead and equipment team for prompt resolution.

Skills and Qualifications of the Production Technician:

• High school diploma or GED.

• 1-3 years of experience on an automated production line as a machine operator or similar role.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must be able to work safely and follow SOP.

• Basic familiarity with common automation sensors, conveyor logic, PLC logic, and automation trouble shooting strongly preferred.
