Production Supervisor

Job Description
We are seeking a Production Supervisor for an established company in the Norton Shores, MI area who will be responsible for ensuring the on-time production of quality products while handling the daily supervision of the plant personnel.
Job Duties of the Production Supervisor:
Develop a prioritized work plan for the team each day.
Perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedures.
Ensure the team is trained and utilized to maximize their potential.
Utilize Lean tools to reduce nonvalue added work. (Balanced work, SQDIP, 8 waste reduction, 5 why’s, problem solving, PDCA)
Assist in documenting work instructions and standard processes.
Complete improvement ideas and action items.
Perform additional duties not specifically outlined in this position description but as directed by the supervisor for the benefit of the company.
Skills and Qualifications of the Production Supervisor:
Experience as Production Supervisor, Sheet Metal preferred but not required .
Highly skilled at reading blueprints, and experience using measuring instruments.
High School Diploma/GED.
Must be able to stand for 8+ hours a day.
Must be able to frequently lift of move up to 50lbs.
