Job Description

We are seeking a Production Associate for an established company in the Ormond Beach, FL area who will perform duties to hand process, count, assemble check, test, coil, bond, pouch, and seal a variety of medical device components or finished products. The ideal candidate will work within the guidelines of all internal procedures and regulatory requirements and operate equipment to accomplish some of these tasks. 

 Schedule: 2nd Shift – Monday thru Thursday, 2:30pm to 12:30am

This position requires reading & following worksheets and procedures; receiving verbal instructions; Set-up and tear-down of production machines; Studying work orders, material specifications, and machine parameters Verifying settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to standards and specifications.

 

Additional Job Duties of the Production Associate:

  • Follow company procedures in meeting or exceeding the performance and quality standards in completion of level I manufacturing processes.

  • Follow all safety procedures/rules including performance of daily safety check of workstation and reporting any unsafe conditions at workstation and surrounding areas.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of work processes and flexibility to perform these tasks in various work areas or machines.

  • Read and sign operating procedures prior to the start of job function to complete training of each operation to be performed.

  • Utilize Good Documentation Practices to record required information on production records in compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Interpret operating procedures and apply functions detailed within the procedures including MPs, TVAs and QANNs.

  • Follow documented procedures for cleaning workstation prior to setting up work to be performed.

  • Receive parts and materials, visually inspects all parts for defects to meet specification per the defect awareness section of the manufacturing procedures.

  • Perform repetitive production routines in compliance with specific procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Construct cartons, label product and other packaging materials, and pack components and final products to meet packing requirements.

  • Perform proper labeling practice, box sealing with accuracy on accountability form of all printed material.

  • Notify lead or management of any questions relating to the performance of job function, defective materials, components, tools or unusual operating problems.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Skills and Qualifications of the Production Associate:

  • High School Diploma required or equivalent experience and/or training.

  • Must have a minimum of 1-year stable employment history plus 6 months production/assembly experience, preferred.

  • Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and interpret all written procedures in English and follow instructions.

  • Requires basic mathematical skills

  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for the full duration of the shift and perform repetitive.

  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 30 lbs., and be able to bend, reach, pull, twist and push product on a continuous basis.

  • Must demonstrate manual dexterity and preciseness in assembly process and be able to meet quality and productivity requirements.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment, with manual repetitive job functions. Work is primarily performed in a sterile environment with frequent exposure manufacturing areas, frequent exposure to strong odors from solvents and bonding agents, and little exposure to noise or heat.

  • Physical effort is needed to move, lift, carry and pack product and materials.

  • Work involves frequent bending, reaching, pulling, twisting, pushing and lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, gloves, and proper work shoes/boots. Loose-fitting clothes, jewelry, and colognes & fragrances are not permitted.

  • May be required to work overtime, scheduled work hours subject to change without prior notification.
