Job Description

We are seeking a Bilingual Process Engineer for an established company in the Jacksonville, FL area.

Schedule: Dayshift

 Process Engineer (Bilingual Chinese and English preferred)

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Create technical documents, build BOM and materials usage for each sales order based on individual customer requirement (CIR), configure and setup required product and production order information in PLM, SAP, EWM and MES.

  2. Collaborate with HQ technical department on implementing new changes, new materials, new product and new machines. Coordinate with HQ on modifying drawings and technical spec to meeting US standard and machine manufacturability.

  3. Work with procurement and QA on supplier evaluation and on-site audits and facilitate action item closure. Assist supplier in driving product and process improvement.

  4. Prepare sample modules for certifications and reliability tests.

  5. Deal with customer complaint. Create failure analysis root cause report utilizing an 8D methodology.

  6. Contribute to ISO, IEC, UL and customer compliance audits, support pre-shipment inspection activities.

  7. Assist in develop and modify existing processes or machines to improve material flow, waste reduction, safety and ergonomics. Lead improvement initiatives which ensure the organization meets its customer satisfaction and cost reduction goals.

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS & COMTETENCIES:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Materials Engineering or related discipline required (Master’s degree preferred).

  2. Bilingual Mandarin Chinese and English is a must, ability to read and write technical terms in Chinese.

  3. At least 2 years of working experience in high-tech manufacturing industry or highly automated manufacturing environment.

  4. Ability to review and update technical drawings in 2D or 3D.

  5. Knowledge of materials property and good mechanical aptitude.

  6. Good team player with a positive and proactive attitude; self-starter who performs well under minimum supervision; Ability to communicate effectively and accurately.

  7. Computer skills including Microsoft Office and CAD software (Solidworks or Inventor), experience using SAP, PLM and MES.

  8. Must be comfortable with integrating new technology into an existing business environment.

  9. Ability to stand and walk the production area throughout the workday. Able to lift to 50 pounds without restriction.
