We are seeking a Powder Coater for an established company in the Rothbury, MI area who will be applying a powder-based coating to various surfaces, typically metals, using specialized equipment. 

Job Duties of the Powder Coater:

• Operate powder coating spray guns to apply an even coat of powder to the prepared surface.

• Ensure that the powder is applied at the correct thickness and uniformly covers the entire surface without flaws such as runs, drips, or thin spots.

• Transfer coated parts into ovens for the curing process, where the powder melts and hardens to form a protective, durable layer.

• Monitor and adjust oven temperature and time settings to ensure proper curing based on the type of powder and material being coated.

• Set up and adjust powder coating equipment, such as spray guns, hoses, and booths, to ensure optimal operation.

• Inspect finished products to ensure the coating is smooth, even, and free of defects like bubbles, orange peel, or spots.

• Load and unload parts onto racks, hooks, or conveyors for powder coating and curing.

Skills and Qualifications of the Powder Coater:

• Experience with Powder Coating.

• Attention to detail: Ensuring even and defect-free coating application. 

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs.

• Must be able to stand for 8+ hours a day.
