Job Responsibilities:

The Landscape Crew Member is responsible for assisting the Landscape Crew Leader in the installation of landscape construction and enhancement projects. This position performs hands-on landscape installation work while supporting project efficiency, safety standards, and quality craftsmanship to ensure projects are completed according to company standards.

Job Duties:

• Assist with the installation of landscape projects including:

o Planting trees, shrubs, and perennials

o Sod installation and grading

o Mulch, rock, and bed preparation

o Drainage solutions

o Hardscape installation (pavers, patios, walkways, retaining walls)

o Landscape renovations and enhancements

• Follow direction from the Crew Leader to complete tasks according to project plans and timelines.

• Assist with layout and preparation of landscape beds and installation areas.

• Help ensure installations meet company quality and craftsmanship standards.

• Maintain clean work areas throughout the project and ensure properties are left in professional condition.

• Operating a golf cart to move from greenhouse to greenhouse may also be required.

• Safely operate landscape tools and equipment such as shovels, wheelbarrows, compactors, saws, and power tools.

• Assist with safe operation of equipment including skid steers, mini excavators, and other machinery when trained and authorized.

• Assist with daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.

• Direct customer questions or concerns to the Crew Leader or management.

• Operate company vehicles/golf carts as needed

Skills and Qualifications:

• Prior landscaping, construction, or outdoor labor experience preferred but not required.

• Willingness to learn landscape installation techniques and equipment operation.

• Valid driver’s license preferred.

• Ability to operate landscape tools safely and responsibly.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical labor.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Maintain respectful and professional interaction with customers and other contractors.

• The ability to walk, lift, twist, and bend for 8 hours a day
