Job Description

We are seeking a Direct Hire Inside Sales Director for a Manufacturing firm to work in the Jacksonville Florida area.

 

The Inside Sales Director will lead our inside sales operations, drive revenue growth, and build a high performing team. We need a self-motivated professional with proven managerial and sales experience. In this role you will focus on the tactical execution of the sales strategy, managing day-to-day operations, and implementing programs to meet organizational goals.

 

Responsibilities:

• Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing inside sales team to achieve revenue targets

• Create and implement strategies to increase lead conversion rate and customer retention

• Oversee the entire inside sales cycle – from quote generation to order close and follow up

• Work closely with production, customer service and logistics to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment

• Monitor and manage processes for KPIs such as call volumes, quote-to-close ratios, sales cycle time, and customer satisfaction to achieve company objectives

• Implement and maintain effective CRM usage (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to ensure data accuracy and pipeline visibility

• Collaborate with marketing on lead generation campaigns and inbound lead management

• Analyze sales data to identify trends, customer needs, and areas for improvement

• Coach and mentor team members through performance reviews, training, and career development

• Ensure compliance with pricing policies, contracts, and customer agreements

• Act as a liaison between vendors, dealers, engineering and regional sales managers

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate presentations

• Collaborate with marketing to organize and execute all requirements for national tradeshows, annual leadership forum, and other corporate-level events throughout the year

• Effectively manage cost budget for Inside Sales Department

• Report to the National Sales Manager on sales activities using a variety of reporting and data collection tools

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.

 

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or related field of study

• 6+ years of B2B sales experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment and 2+ years of

leading an inside sales team

• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets

• Must be a self-starter and motivated

• Must thrive in fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure

• Excellent leadership, written/verbal communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.

• Strong understanding of CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics

• Strong understanding of industrial product sales, quoting, and order fulfillment cycles

• Project and time management skills

 

Preferred Requirements:

• Relevant industry experience and technical knowledge

• Strong network within relevant industry

• Experience collaborating with field sales, distributors, or channel partners

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Visual, Docuware)

• Data-driven decision making and performance management mindset

• Display an aptitude for visual and written storytelling

• Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products
