We are seeking a Melt Technician for an established company in the Ferrysburg, MI area. The ideal candidate will be able to perform any combination of the following tasks in the foundry concerned with melting and pouring of the molds: following furnace procedures; keeping a detailed inventory of metals; moving foundry materials; cleaning equipment; and maintaining safe work areas. The Melt Tech reports directly to the Plant Manager.

Job Duties of the Melt Tech:

• Pouring quality castings

• Keeping a proper record of parts produced

• Properly maintaining detailed pour logs

• Revert metal organization

• Developing safe pouring practices

• Logging any scrap and solve any quality issues

• Keeping on pace with production needs

• Utilizing spectrometers

• Familiar with different metals and pouring different alloys

Skills and Qualifications of the Melt Tech:

• Ability to stand for 8+ hours a day

• Ability to work with hands in repetitive motions for 8+ hours a day

• Resume with relevant experience

• At least 1 year of experience 3+ preferred

• Steel toe work boots

• High School Diploma or GED required

Benefits once hired in!

• Bonuses: After 90 days $1 per hour worked weekly based on attendance. Have had bonuses of $450-500 with no attendance issues.
