Job Description

We are seeking Assembly Technicians for an established company in the Norton Shores, MI area who will connect parts into more complex components and ensures all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. The goal is to produce a quality product. Assembly is one of the final stages before our product is shipped to our customers, so attention to detail is required to be successful at this position.

Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 8:30am to 5pm

 

Job Duties of the Assembly Tech:

  • Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.

  • Verify that you have all material and equipment needed to begin the process.

  • Take measurements to ensure perfect fit of components.

  • Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications.

  • Align material and put together parts to build more complex units.

  • Check output to ensure highest quality.

  • Maintain equipment and workspace in good condition.

  • Input production quantities and time data.

  • Report on issues, malfunctions, or defective parts.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Skills and Qualifications of the Assembly Tech:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required

  • Must be able to work with metric and standard measurement systems (including decimals). 

  • Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints and drawings (will train)

  • Must be able to use tools such as:

    • Power air and/or battery powered tools such drills, impact wrenches, and staplers.

    • Drill press and table saw

    • Simple tooling set up.

  • Good understanding of quality control principles.

  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity

  • Must be able to work with wood, metal, and foam.

  • Must be able to work regular schedules set forth by the Management team.

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
