Job Responsibilities:

Assembling cores to proper dimensions. Ensuring all excess sand has been removed from the internal of the core to make the proper shape casting. Ensure the core is baked properly so the sand is in place.

Job Duties:

• Makes sand cores used in molds to form holes or hollows in metal castings

• Cleans core box with blast of compressed air.

• Dusts parting sand over inside of core box to facilitate removal of finished core.

• Compacts sand in core box, using hands, hand rammer, and air rammer.

• Inverts core box onto metal plate, and lifts box from sand core.

Skills and Requirements:

• Experience in a foundry preferred but not required

• Steel Toe Boots
