Aluminum Welder / Fabricator
Location: Near Downtown Jacksonville, FL 32209
Pay: $18.00 to $25.00 /hour, depending on experience
Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire

Position Summary

We are hiring an Aluminum Welder/Fabricator for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity near Downtown Jacksonville. This role will involve fabricating miscellaneous aluminum products in the shop, loading fabricated materials onto trucks, and assisting with offsite work as needed. Candidates must be reliable, follow instructions well, and have a strong attitude and work ethic.

Schedule

Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
30-minute lunch
Off Friday through Sunday
No overtime required
Must be willing to work 10-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate miscellaneous aluminum products based on prints and work instructions

• Perform aluminum welding and fitting work

• Cut aluminum using standard power tools

• Read and interpret blueprints / prints accurately

• Measure materials accurately, including reading to the 1/16th

• Load trucks with aluminum products fabricated in the shop

• Travel with crew to offsite locations as needed

• Work from a genie lift when needed while securely harnessed

• Follow direction from the crew leader on offsite jobs

• Maintain a safe and productive work environment

Requirements

• Experience fabricating and welding aluminum

• Experience cutting with standard power tools

• Strong ability to read prints

• Must have own tape measure

• Must be able to read measurements to the 1/16th

• Must follow instructions well

• Must be reliable

• Must have a good attitude

• Must be comfortable working offsite when needed

• Must be comfortable being securely harnessed into a genie lift

PPE / Tools

Employee must provide:

• Safety glasses

• Long pants

• Close-toed shoes

• Tape measure

Company will provide:

• Gloves, if needed, though employees may bring their own
