Job Title: Event Setup & Teardown Associate

Job Type: On-Call / Part-Time / As Needed
Location: Amelia Island, FL
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Upcoming Event Dates & Schedule

• March 24, 27, and 30, all events at the same location in Amelia Island

• Setup begins at 1:45 PM

• Breakdown begins at 11:30 PM

Pay / Hours

• Workers will be paid a minimum of 4 hours for setup

• Workers will be paid a minimum of 4 hours for breakdown

• This means a minimum of 8 paid hours per event day

• Workers do not need to remain onsite between setup and breakdown, but must be dependable and return on time for the breakdown shift

Job Summary

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Event Setup & Teardown Associates to assist with high-end event setup and breakdown. This role involves unloading, arranging, and reloading event equipment according to layout instructions while maintaining a professional appearance and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload event equipment including tables, chairs, décor, and other rental items

• Set up event spaces based on provided layout or design instructions

• Assist with arranging furniture, linens, and related event materials

• Tear down event setup at the end of the event and reload equipment onto the truck

• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and care of event equipment

• Follow instructions carefully and work efficiently as part of a team

• Use proper lifting techniques and follow basic safety practices

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work throughout the shift

• Strong attention to detail, important for upscale events

• Must be dependable and able to return for the breakdown shift at 11:30 PM

• Reliable transportation required

• Ability to follow directions and work well with others

• Previous event setup, warehouse, moving, or general labor experience is a plus
