Job Responsibilities:

A production technician manufacturing cells for inside anodizing tanks focuses on the precision assembly, fabrication, and testing of specialized equipment designed to hold or process metal parts in electrolytic baths. They typically read blueprints to assemble components, ensure electrical conductivity, inspect for damage, and maintain a safe, clean, and efficient production area.

Job Duties:

• Fabrication and Assembly: Assemble or construct anodizing cell components using tools and machinery based on technical blueprints and work instructions.

• Quality Assurance (QA): Inspect finished or in-process cells for defects, proper alignment, and structural integrity before they are used in production.

• Testing: Perform tests to ensure that the cells function correctly, ensuring they properly contain parts and allow for consistent electrical current flow during the anodizing process.

• Safety and Maintenance: Adhere to strict safety procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), and performing routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment.

• Documentation: Record production data, material usage, and inspection results, often using computer systems to track job progress.

• Troubleshooting/ Problem Solving: Ability to distinguish what errors may occur and how to resolve them.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Precision measuring – Calipers & micrometers

• Ability to read a tape measure accurately

• Experience reading work instructions and/or blueprints

• Experience & familiarity with hand and power tools
