We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for an established company in the Jacksonville Beach, FL area who will perform building maintenance as needed. 

Schedule: Tuesday thru Saturday, 8am to 5pm OR Wednesday thru Saturday, 7am to 6pm, plus overtime as needed.

Pay is $25-27 per hour, depending on experience.

Job Duties of the Maintenance Technician:

• Perform routine maintenance including light carpentry, drywall repair, painting, caulking, etc.

• Perform minor adjustments on HVAC systems (filter changes, drain pan inspections, fuse changes, etc.)

• Repair/Replace locks and service doors and/or hinges

• Monitor and fix leaks, clogs or other issues related to plumbing

• Repair lighting (interior, ceiling and cubicle lights, change ballasts)

• Replace ceiling tiles and performing minor grid work 

• Install applicable signage and wall décor throughout campus

• Perform  preventative maintenance tasks

• Utilize CMMS platform to submit, receive and complete work orders

• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

• Responds to on-call and after-hours emergency situations.

• Special projects or other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications of the Maintenance Technician:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Five years’ experience in facilities general maintenance.

• Must be flexible in hours and days worked

• Working knowledge of plumbing, painting, HVAC, electrical, and/or other general repair skills

• Prior experience with project management, vendor oversight and bid review

• Excellent organization, time management and project management skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Obtain any locally required certification as needed such a forklift certification

• Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License

• Basic computer skills required

• Able to safely operate company and utility vehicles such as, but not limited to, golf carts, utility carts, and shuttle carts.
