We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for an established company in the Grand Haven, MI area who will repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as Gas and electric furnaces, motors, pneumatic tools, production machines and equipment by performing the required duties and essential functions.

Job Duties of the Maintenance Technician:

• Visually inspect and test machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions and dismantle devices to gain access to problem areas

• Install new or repaired parts and replace faulty mechanical control, electrical, hydraulic, gas, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.

• Install special functional and structural parts in devices.

• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

• Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.

• Perform routine preventative maintenance.

• Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment.

• Follow all lockout procedures, safety rules, and OSHA requirements.

• Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Skills and Qualifications of the Maintenance Technician:

• Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Maintenance Technician within manufacturing.

• Ability to effectively communicate with others.

• Possess basic hydraulic and electrical knowledge.

• Self-motivated, must be team-oriented, able to problem-solve and troubleshoot.

• Demonstrate a commitment to safe working behaviors including lock out, fall protection, confined space and mobile equipment operation.
