We are seeking a Journeyman Industrial Electrician for an established company in the Jacksonville, FL area.

This is a direct hire. Payrate is $36.06 per hour. Overtime as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems and be able to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities include learning from and working with our current electrician, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, reading blueprints and schematics, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. The successful candidate will also be agreeable to learn mechanical aspects of shore crane and conveyor systems and must be willing to work overtime hours and weekends as needed.  Approximately 50% of the work will entail non-electrical work and include various marine terminal functions as required

 Job Duties of the Industrial Electrician Technician:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components.

• Inspect and test electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.

• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.

• Install power supply wiring and conduit such as EMT, O-CAL, Rigid conduit, MC cable, strut, etc.

• Troubleshoot motor and control systems.

• Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems.

Skills and Qualifications Needed:

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school is also acceptable.

• 3 years experience as an industrial electrician.

• Significant experience repairing and trouble-shooting high-speed production equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams or blueprint and/or other forms of engineering drawings.

• High level of interpersonal effectiveness.

• Basic digital literacy.
