We are seeking Nursery Technicians for an established company in the Lake Panasoffkee, FL area who have experience working in the agricultural or horticultural industries.  Techs without experience that are willing to get dirty, and have the ability to occasionally push or pull 50lbs, and pick up 20lbs intermittently, with good manual dexterity will be a great fit for consideration. 

Job Duties of the Nursery Tech:

• May be assigned to propagation/greenhouse to prepare raw plant materials for coating by removing leaves, dipping into mixture, and placing into soil

• May be assigned to garden area to perform clipping or collection duties

• May be trained to operate soil mixer:  Mix bag of soil with bag of fertilizer, run machine, collect “mixed” soil for use in trays

• Will support prep and supply readiness by stacking trays, filling with soil, and transporting via all terrain wheeled wagon to production area. Will also collect trays, waste materials, and supplies to designated area, as needed.

• Other nursery, propagation, and cultivation duties as assigned – later to include extraction plant duties/responsibilities, if needed.

• Must be able to speak basic English – if not able to speak English, an inquiry can be made to Raphael to learn if a bi-lingual coworker may be available as a mentor or that the basic functions of the job are understood and safety rules are able to be followed with accommodation.

Farm Maintenance associates will also be considered: 

• Those with experience running a zero turn, fixing fences, weed eating and edging.  We will present these types of candidates as they are vetted in case there is a need.  Pay rate will depend on their experience.

Dress code of the Nursery Tech: 

• Closed toed shoes, shorts or pants, t-shirt or conservative tank top, unrevealing and free of offensive graphics or logos. 

• Hat, sunblock (some is provided, but associate may wish to bring their own – aerosol and traditional are fine), sunglasses. 

• Some associates prefer to bring “rain boots” as working within the greenhouses can cause their tennis shoes to get wet.
