Grinder/Knockout - 1st shift!

Job Description
We are seeking Grinders for an established company in the Muskegon, MI area who will be finishing parts by observing if the part meets cosmetic standards (surface appearance or determining any defects), removing remaining 'risers', grinding down 'gate' surfaces, and comparing to visual criteria sheet images and according to work instructions.
Job Duties of the Grinder:
Visually inspect castings/parts -- looking for defects such as blow holes, sand holes, shrink, imperfect gates, crush, etc. -- noting variances in part from visual criteria sheet/customer specifications.
Operate various grinders to remove excess metal from parts.
Operate various automated cells to process castings.
Perform minor maintenance on the grinders (replacing wheels & bits)
Keep work area clean by performing general housekeeping duties.
Qualifications / Requirements of the Grinder:
Casting and Foundry experience a plus, but not required.
Must be able to stand 8+ hours for their shift.
Must wear required hearing and eye protection.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
