We are seeking a skilled Drafting Associate for an established company in the Leesburg, FL area who has expertise in structural steel detailing and familiarity with industry codes and practices. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in SolidWorks and related design software with excellent problem solving skills.

This role involves reviewing contract documents, drawing, and specifications to prepare detailed shop drawings, material takeoffs, and compliance with codes and standards. The Drafting Associate will collaborate closely with fabrication teams and project managers to ensure designs meet specifications and project requirements.

Skills and Qualifications of the Drafting Associate:

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in structural detailing.

• Proficient knowledge and understanding of SolidWorks and AutoCAD software and Microsoft Office.

• Sound understanding of structural engineering principles, steel fabrication processes, welding techniques, and construction practices.

• Familiarity with AISC Code of Standard Practice and AWS.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while handling complex design projects.

• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issues during the detailing process to maintain project progress.
