We are seeking a CNC Machinist for an established company in the Shelby, MI area who will be operating, doing set ups, and programming CNC machines, which are used to shape and fabricate parts from raw materials like metal or wood.

Job Duties of the CNC Machinist:

• Write or modify CNC programs using G-code or proprietary software.

• Ensure that programs are optimized for efficiency and accuracy during production.

• Set up CNC machines by installing tools, fixtures, and materials based on the specifications provided in blueprints or technical drawings.

• Operate the machines by loading materials, inputting program instructions, and monitoring the machine during production.

• Interpret detailed technical drawings and blueprints to understand dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.

• Use precision measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify that parts meet the required specifications and tolerances.

• Inspect finished products for defects and make adjustments to the machine or process as needed.

• Monitor and maintain tools, cutting bits, and other machine components to ensure they remain in good working condition

Skills and Qualifications of the CNC Machinist:

• Experience with CNC Operation - Mills / Lathes.

• Experience with Reading Blueprints and measurements.

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs.

• Must be able to stand for 8+ hours a day.
