We are seeking an AutoCAD Drafter for immediate hire with an established company in the Jacksonville, FL area.

AutoCAD drafters create technical drawings and plans for building and manufacturing by using computer-aided design and drafting (CAD or CADD) software programs.

CAD is the primary way in which drafters develop plans, drawings and sketches. Using AutoCAD software, created by Autodesk Inc., drafters prepare a visual depiction of a product to be constructed.

We are seeking a team-player with an AutoCAD/drafting background that can immediately step in to create piece numbered HVAC shop drawings. This position requires an individual who is highly detail oriented, organized, and self-motivated to join our fast-paced team. This is a full-time position.

Primary Responsibilities of the AutoCAD Drafter:

• Prepare three-dimensional HVAC shop drawings in AutoCAD

• Communicate with customers through e-mail and phone calls

• Compute dimensions from Architectural plans to figure location of ductwork/grilles on Mechanical plans

• Draft technical details, including elevation views and keyed notes

• Design new parts in AutoCAD as needed

Additional Responsibilities include:

• Price HVAC ductwork projects using electronic quoting software

• Produce material lists and input data into manufacturing software programs to get jobs out for production

• Help create and revise PDF spec sheet/submittal drawings for our products

Skills and Qualifications of the AutoCAD Drafter:

• Must have working knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, specifically AutoCAD Mechanical for HVAC design purposes

• Strong math skills (accurate calculations and attention to detail are a must)

• HVAC Design and installation are a plus but not required

• Strong Computer skills

• Ability to work well with others

• Examples of previous AutoCAD projects to show credentials
