We are looking for Assembly Technicians for a great company in Cookeville. The ideal candidates with have experience in Assembly but experience in other production positions will be considered as well.

Schedule: M-Th, 3:30PM-1:30AM

Job Duties of the Assembly Tech:

• Carry out operations defined in the Work Instructions for performing assembly operations to the required Customer Quality defined standards.

• Learn all aspects of mirror assembly, cross-train on each station and when production scheduling allows cross-train on multiple assembly lines.

• Track and report hourly production data, daily for pieces produced.

• Learn and perform daily preventative maintenance and minor maintenance as needed.

• Be responsible for following First Piece procedure according to the defined standards.

• Maintain the 5S requirements of the area to defined standards.

• Participate and contribute during team meetings.

• Learn and understand the Key Performance Indicators for the department and participate in improvement activities when targets are missed.

• Participate in training activities as needs are identified to increase overall skill set.

• Adhere to the Health and Safety policies and procedures.

• Take care of the tools, machines and facilities provided to perform job.

• Adhere to job rotation schedules on the assigned assembly lines.

• Perform duties to achieve the production schedule to meet customer demands by utilizing good communication skills in a team atmosphere.

Skills and Qualifications of the Assembly Tech:

• Must be able to perform the job at appropriate skill levels according to the operator certification skills matrix.

• Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds.

• Must be able to meet physical requirements of the job that include walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, reaching, and grasping.
