About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sewing Specialist with demonstrated experience in complex, creative, and dimensional sewing. This position requires a self-directed professional who thrives on solving technical challenges, producing high-quality work, and taking full ownership of each project from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify all product measurements against work orders and associated creative specifications
• Execute the most complex sewing projects, determining optimal construction methods and producing high-quality results—often requiring inventive problem-solving
• Read and interpret work orders with minimal guidance from Production Management
• Maintain sewing machinery and ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area
• Manage workflow to meet specifications, quality standards, and deadlines
• Work as needed—including extra hours and weekends—to complete assigned projects
• Arrive on time and consistently maintain a professional work ethic

Required Experience & Skills

Experience:

• 5+ years of technical sewing with a strong track record handling complex and creative sewing tasks
• Hands-on expertise with sewing machinery and techniques, especially for heavy-duty vinyl and durable fabrics
• Experience in dimensional sewing, structure covers, upholstery, alterations, backpacks, pouches, bags, and similar products
• Ability to independently design, plan, and execute technical sewing projects without direct supervision

Technical Skills:

• Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16" and perform basic fraction math (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Strong understanding of measuring tools (rulers, tape measures, etc.)
• Proficiency with sewing equipment: single-needle, double-needle, sergers, walking-foot machines, and other industrial machines
• Knowledge of textile finishing processes and an intuitive ability to determine methods for sewing new or unfamiliar products

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and work in various positions as needed
• Ability to individually lift, pull, and drag materials weighing up to 100 lbs (e.g., large heavy vinyl, large-format banners)
