Reach Truck Operator

Job Description
We are seeking a Reach Truck Operator on the Westside of Jacksonville to work a 32 hour workweek.
Schedule is 6am to 2pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday.
The Reach Truck Operator is responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of goods within the warehouse. This position requires the operation of a reach truck to transport materials and products to and from storage areas, loading docks, and trucks, ensuring the safe handling of items. The Reach Truck Operator will also be expected to perform inventory checks and maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate Reach Truck: Safely operate a reach truck to move, load, and unload materials, supplies, and products within the warehouse.
Inventory Management: Pick, pack, and stage materials or products accurately from storage racks using the reach truck as directed.
Loading/Unloading: Assist in the loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other vehicles.
Order Fulfillment: Ensure the timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders by retrieving and staging products for dispatch.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols while operating the reach truck and other equipment to avoid injuries and damage.
Equipment Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-operational inspections on the reach truck and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
Warehouse Organization: Maintain cleanliness and order in the warehouse, ensuring materials are stored in their proper locations and areas are free from obstructions.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other team members to achieve operational goals and maintain a smooth workflow.
Documentation: Complete any necessary paperwork, including inventory logs, movement sheets, and damage reports.
Adherence to Standards: Follow company policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years experience operating a reach truck or similar equipment in a warehouse setting.
Experience with inventory control and warehouse management systems (WMS) is an advantage.
Skills:
Ability to operate reach trucks efficiently in confined spaces and at high altitudes.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking, loading, and staging materials.
Good understanding of warehouse safety protocols and best practices.
Basic math and computer skills for inventory tracking and order fulfillment.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
Comfortable working in varying temperatures depending on the warehouse environment.
