Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Engineer for an established company in the Cookeville, TN area.

 

Job Duties of the Quality Engineer include:

  • Escalate local organizational problems when necessary.

  • Lead or participate in activities under the Corporate Strategic Lines.

  • Train local HSQE, International Standards IATF 16949, ISO/IEC15504, ISO26262, ISO9001 and other customer quality norms and procedures.

  • Encourage the employees to file relevant lessons learned in the database.

  • Participate in Quality / Plant meetings: Daily QCR, Weekly PDCA, Monthly MQR and Quality KPIs.

  • Support the revision of site policies, procedures, instructions and forms.

  • Develop, implement and update a management system fitting applicable standards and customer requirements.

  • Ensure integration of new technologies and products, as well as new Business Units, in the company management system.

  • Collaborate with corporate OHSA services to integrate activities in the management system.

  • Promote the standardization of the management system.

  • Develop and deploy an internal audit system to ensure the management system is implemented and maintained.

  • Serve as liaison for third party registry, AENOR.

  • Promote the development and deployment of IT tools to manage quality policies, as well as management systems.

  • Ensure the plant has a robust Product Certification process.

  • Define and implement specific PIs and KPIs to monitor and improve use of the management system.

  • Observe Code of Ethics to avoid fraudulent practices. Comply with Information Security Management System (ISMS) applicable to the job, along with the training related thereto.

  • Lead the team, guaranteeing its effectiveness, development and motivation, fostering company values.

  • Provide the team with the necessary means to comply with OHSE rules, ensuring they are properly used.

  • Actively cooperate in maintaining, promoting and improving the OHSE and Quality department.

  • Support and work on specific PIs and KPIs to monitor and improve use of the management system.

  • Observe Company Code of Ethics to avoid fraudulent practices. Comply with Information Security Management System (ISMS) applicable to the job, along with the training related thereto.

  • Collaborate with the team, guaranteeing its effectiveness, development and motivation, fostering company values.

 

Skills and Qualifications of the Quality Engineer include:

  • Academic background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar.

  • Language: Advanced English (written & spoken).

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar position.

  • Additional training: Knowledge of quality systems, current legislation (ISO/EN Standards), internal auditor or advance quality planning, would be of additional value.
