Job Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for an established company in the Grand Haven, MI area who will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various types of tooling, molds, industrial equipment, and facility assets allowing for peak performance and reliability.

Job Duties of the Maintenance Technician:

  • Inspect, maintain, & repair various types of tooling, molds, industrial equipment, and facility assets allowing for peak performance and reliability.
  • Coordinate and execute production tooling setups focused on minimizing production impact including tooling parameters, inserts, rigging & clamping, hydraulic and steam systems.
  • Participate in the planning & preparation of maintenance work including scheduling and procurement of parts.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving downtime & scrap situations and working with the team to prevent reoccurrences.
  • Actively work with team to continuously improve equipment and processes to eliminate unnecessary waste throughout the organization.
  • Accurately documents observations and activities allowing for the detection of trends reducing impact of future breakdowns.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for building occupants.


Skills and Requirements of the Maintenance Technician:

  • Minimum two years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Efficiently use standard industrial equipment, tools, and measurement devices including mill, lathe, welder, multimeters, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a lift truck & arial lift license.
  • Knowledge in safe rigging & lifting practices.
  • Understanding of Pneumatics & Hydraulics systems
  • Basic Electrical & PLC Knowledge
  • Basic computer skills for data entry & work order access
  • Print reading for all trades including hydraulics and electrical diagrams.
  • Experience with molding machines (100-1500 tons), preferred.
