We are seeking Machine Operators for an established company in the Shelby, MI area.
The primary responsibilities of this position would include operating or tending woodworking machines or other machines including saws, drill presses, routers, contour banders, lathes, planers, and wood molding machines. This position is also considered a floater and could require learning multiple machines and/or positions.

Job Duties of the Machine Operator:

• Receives daily production list and priorities from Plant Manager.
• Inspect stock for imperfections or to estimate grades or qualities of stock or workpieces.
• Start machines, adjust controls, and may make trial cuts to ensure that machinery and CNC program are operating properly.
• Load material into machines, produce products according to blueprints, oral or written instructions, drawings, or work instructions.
• Perform general and preventive maintenance on machines and keeps work area in clean orderly condition.

Skills and Qualifications of the Machine Operator:

• Technical Aptitude
• Mechanical aptitude
• Resume with Interview @ company
• Previous experience is preferred but not required
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
• Ability to lift, twist, and bend for 8+ hours a day
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
