Finishing Associates perform any combination of tasks in the foundry concerned with removing castings from molds, dressing castings, moving foundry materials, and cleaning equipment and work areas.

Job Duties of the Finishing Associate:

• Knock-out: separating castings from ceramic mold box.
• Plasma Cutting: to remove casting parts from the tree.
• Cut-off: saw-based removal of castings from the tree.
• Revert Organization: post cut-off the importance of sorting revert material.
• Wheelabrator
• Sand Blasting
• Grinding: belt grinding
• Quality Inspection
• Production
• Packaging

Skills and Qualifications of the Finishing Associate:

• Required: (1) One or more years experience working in a foundry. 3+ years preferred.
• Must have ability to calculate basic mathematical functions, read and understand job sheets.
• Must have ability to use hand tools and larger mechanical machines needed in the finishing process (grinders, saw, etc.)
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Benefits once hired in!

• Bonuses: after 90 days $1 per hour worked weekly based on attendance. Have had bonuses of $450-500 with no attendance issues.
